Caring for Me

As a mother caring for myself is actually one of the most selfless things I can do. I don’t do it “just because I want to,” but I need to so I can be more present, more graceful, and more loving for my children.

We make sure our children are well rounded; why not take that approach with ourselves? In the midst of the pandemic, my husband and I made sure our oldest had plenty of virtual playdates, virtual PE classes, outdoor play, art time, school, Spanish music class, sweets, quality family time, and free time to do whatever she wanted. Her schedule was packed with a healthy amount of stimulation and rest. Our kids are a fraction of our age and we move mountains to give them what “we think” they need; yet we continually run on E.

The same way we fill our precious children’s tanks, we must take that same approach to set time to fill our tanks.

Whether you are in a season of motherhood or not, taking care of yourself is important.

How do you take care of yourself? (Comment below)
