More Actions Less Words
What if the last year of your life was turned into a silent movie displayed for the world? No words, no explanations, no filters… just your actions. What would people think of you? What would you think about yourself? I know there are a couple of scenes that I wouldn't want to be aired publicly.
I am sick of empty words. I tend to be a pretty blunt person, but I am actively working on speaking in love. What I am learning is even if I speak in love it doesn't mean anything if my actions are the complete opposite. To be frank, I rather just shut up and let my actions speak louder than empty words.
When I tell someone I love them I want those three words to be confirmation of what they have already observed in my interactions with them. If we constantly tell people "who we want to be," but don't follow up with actions we are being foolish. That relationship will die rather quickly because of the lack of authenticity. The disconnect between your words and actions paints you as someone who cannot be trusted causing you to have difficulty maintaining healthy relationships. Personally, when I see the disconnect, I immediately keep those people at arm’s length.
I encourage you to let your words be confirmation to your actions.
