Community Matters

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve seen my community show up for me in such an incredible way. As soon as I begin releasing the pride that has settled in my mind, I was able to be more transparent with those in my circle. In my opinion, HEALTHY relationships require deposits and withdrawals. Previously, I would primarily deposit and seldom take withdraws even when offered. In this season of my life when I needed the withdrawals my community showed up! 

I know God used each person uniquely to bless me in various ways. From soul-nourishing conversations, much-needed laughs, family dinners, cookies, quality time, childcare, deposits of wisdom, and being a safe place for me to transparently share my heart. I could only imagine how many times I’ve missed these deposits by trying to “appear” as if I had it all together. 

God is showing me the value of and the gift of “investing” in community with others. From a heart of gratitude, I am praying for each of you to lean into your own community and if you don’t have one yet, that God brings you support in the exact way that you need it.
